We know how to usher in spring in Pleasanton.
For proof, here are four great upcoming events that you’ll want to bring the family to:
Gardening enthusiasts already know and love the Alden Lane Nursery, which has been a part of the community since 1955. The annual daffodil show, coming this year on March 5 and 6, is a great time for the entire community to take in the beauty of nature here in Pleasanton.
Co-sponsored by the Northern California Daffodil Society, this event will showcase some of the most gorgeous flowers and displays in the region, and will make it easy to see why this is such a great place to live and work.
Alameda County Science and Engineering Fair: Alameda County Fairgrounds
If you have an interest in STEM fields - science, technology, engineering and mathematics – this is an essential event that should not be missed.
Being held at the historic Alameda County Fairgrounds March 11, 12 and 13, this is a great opportunity for students and educators to explore their educational and career options, meet others with similar interests, and most important of all, to compete for scholarships.
Dublin's St Patrick Day Celebration: Parade and Fair
Dublin, CA’s St. Patrick Day Celebration is the best in the region, spanning two days (March 12 and 13) and featuring a fantastic parade and fair. The festival kicks off at the Dublin Civic Center, and includes vendors, entertainment and much more. The festival is only one part of the good times, too.
The parade is Saturday at 9:30am, the Alameda County Firefighters - Local 55 are sponsoring a pancake breakfast that day from 7am to 10am, the Green and White Gala is being held by the Dublin Sister City Association Friday at 6pm, and the Shamrock 5K Fun Run and Walk is set for Sunday at 8:30am on Dublin Boulevard at Civic Plaza.
Good Guys All American Get Together: Alameda Fair Grounds
Now entering its 34th year, the Good Guys All American Get Together at Alameda Fair Grounds is the perfect excuse to get you and the family out of the house and enjoying the outdoors together. Scheduled for March 19 and 20, expect two days of the most gorgeous classic vehicles you’ve ever seen – over 3,000 in all.
There will also be live music, a swap meet, autos for sale, dragster exhibitions, and more. And for the kids, there will be tons of free activities, including arts and crafts and more. This event always draws a crowd for a reason: because it’s a great time!
